The award-winning Factory Phnom Penh was indeed a factory. This 3.4-hectare garment factory once was a production house responsible for 75% of Levi jeans and swimsuit products globally. In 2017, this abandoned factory complex was renovated to become a creative art hub which soon became Cambodia’s biggest startup incubator. Currently, it hosts over 200 startup companies with more than 2,000 workers working on a daily basis. In 2020, Factory Phnom Penh was awarded the “Best Co-working Space in Asia” by PropertyGuru.
